Welcome to Sherman-McKinney District UMC!Bishop W. Earl Bledsoe visited the district March 8-12, 2009.
The Sherman-McKinney District of the United Methodist Church serves 59 churches stretching over 5 counties in north Texas: Grayson, Cooke, Fannin, Collin, and Hunt counties. One of six districts in the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church, we are comprised of rural and suburban churches. On our website, you will find a current district calendar, A.M.O.S. (Area Methodist Outreach Services) for individuals in need that live within our district geographical boundaries, current communications with the clergy (District News and Notes), and links to district agencies (Wesley Village, The Prothro Center), Lay Speakers, and the Texoma Walk to Emmaus community.
